How did John P. Hogan up from New Haven Public Schools, after first a year at Yale Divinity Nursery School, with Wilbur Cross "Governors" HS class of 1983 Crossroads yearbook to Villanova University class of 1987 with freshman facebook to yearbook ident as John P. Hogan (Peter) to first year student of Suffolk University Law School facebook status for class of 1990 also as John P. Hogan (Peter) become hard to find on facebook or Google as "John P. Hogan" but not "J.P.Hogan"?

Yes I proved my theory that I only wanted a year of law training and left after first year to stay more creative and entrepreneurial, but not before some politics at Suffolk of running a classmate for class section president and then for class president against my former Villanova '87 class president then running from another of three sections, divided by alphabet.  I was also known at Suffolk as a "yearbook photographer" and for such year school was of returning to offering a yearbook and needing photographs mostly of third year students.  It was odd, a little, on visits after withdrawing, and having withdrawn such that I remained "an accepted student" able to return any of next seven years and restart without "reapplying" >>> odd that so many on seeing me "back" were of asking nicely "if I had passed the bar already."

Yes, I like to play with writing styles, and yes the above is truthful yet playful.  Yes I left Suffolk Law after first year but not without staying interested in the law and seeing to a national change to "more laymen like language" that became within "Rehnquist Revolution" to many also seeing it as timely with America moving to new status as a sole superpower.

And so now with some more history for "John P. Hogan" aka "J. Peter Hogan" aka "J.P.Hogan":

On this day and at the moment captured such day in 1971 I am so pictured having leaned into my grandfather Arthur M. Menadier just after my younger brother's Christening at Saint Joseph's in New Haven and thinking to him "I want to become just like you".   He was months then away from mandatory retirement from Young and Rubicam as the head of Johnson & Johnson accounts - the "Mad Man" for J&J for then most of past 25 years.  He obviously liked the thought and kept liking it after I "agreed" >  "but without your vice of smoking."

Grandma "Tutu" Menadier after having presented me my only ever pro-football jersey.  I don't remember having seen other of her near 30 grandchildren ever wearing a similar jersey.  In the above picture at top I was of leaning in with such thought after having observed "Tutu" and two of her daughters talking of worries my gramps wouldn't have enough to do after fast approaching retirement - it got me to thinking and to seizing a grandson "opportunity."

Now just a little older, I am as pictured just outside the front door of THE WHITE HOUSE in early days of President Ford administration and in my favorite, and second hand, pants my old Osh Kosh cords with wild west "WANTED" & "MOST WANTED" posters and flyers printed everywhere.  By this moment in my life "Bill and Hillary" had likely already walked by me alone "at play" in school yard across from my home and have asked/polled me as to whether they both, as Yale Law Students - unmarried, could both become president someday.  Well I wanted to be a "Mad Man" someday and was in a "field of asphalt dreams" a New Haven Public School yard so thought I had nothing to lose in saying yes, nothing that couldn't get fixed later, but with such thought before "Bill" proceeded to lie to "Hillary" about my answer where some "legal expert" in my thoughts had me telling them "but no if you get married, for then the term limit law likely will kick in - so be careful if you get married as to whom goes first."

Me, J Peter Hogan near 1983.   In 1983 I graduated from Wilbur Cross High School already of "pitch line" "I am more a Citizen Rosebud than a CITIZEN KANE."   I was the Business Editor for CROSSWORDS my senior year on such Literary Magazine staff, and a photographer for CROSSROADS, our yearbook.  I lettered in two sports and was a co-captain on both Tennis and Swim teams.   It is from my comment to "friends" post graduation to other swimteam tri-captains a female Geller and another swimmer, David...  "Friends, but best to think me your "friend" in New York City while I will likely be other places."  Cycling and bike maintenance was a primary hobby pursued towards "touring" in my own time.

To keep the "Hogan" and "Irish" in my ambitions I did custom order and buy this 1988 Ford F250 4x4 after proving to myself that I was right that my creative ambitions towards NYC were greater than my interests in staying at Suffolk University Law School past first year's most useful studies and so while Reagan Revolution beating on.  To put my pick-up truck in better historical perspective than just here pictured years later while a Connecticut S-Corp self-employed Home Improvement Contractor >> the fall of 1988 President Obama was of moving to Cambridge, Mass to start Harvard Law and I with my then month old truck was moving a Villanova friend from inner city Philadelphia out to Chicago to start his free "full-ride" for PhD at University of Chicago in Education.  I drove 18 hours and taught such friend (yes - "black" friend) how to drive standard shift much of other four hours.  I was building on Block Island when my truck "came in" from custom order and didn't move off until 1989.   It seems it was useful for my dad's ambitions that I fought to defend and live the more "Irish" from his family side and even for his ambitions and professional development in New Haven - though such "benefit" was "work" for me towards such many a day, many of those days I still had my sights set on NYC but after helping with the Reagan Revolution while keeping myself in my hometown with most amount of scrutiny a choice of profession may generate.  I was also with such truck repeating my dad's earlier New Haven days of Jaycees and Special Olympic Games organizing while also of volunteering helping design and build exhibits at then young Eli Whitney Museum.

I eventually moved to Washington DC about the time of Clinton Impeachment hearing and with a sense of "responsibilty" for having helped Clintons become more electable than I had meant to towards 1992.  I hadn't figured in Ross Perot so reacting and getting into such race when synthesising my thinking and writing towards positive change and that IBM was then mirroring, necessarily.  I had meant to move to LA and had taken off on a road trip to LA to consider and likely effect, but then after first day on road I woke to news that Robert Mitchum had passed away, and then on third day that Jimmy Stewart had passed on the day I was passing through DC.   After a couple weeks in New Orleans "visiting" family and getting a rebuilt Dodge 318 swapped into my new but used 1998 Dodge B250 cargo van I decided to turn back to CT and make plans to move to DC instead.   I stayed in DC then from early 1998 for near a full ten years.  My apartment became needed by landlord for over five thousand pairs of "new" skateboarding sneakers once inventory for their nine ASYLUM - WAKE -SKATE- SNOW board stores I had been of designing and building, some, over ten year relationship with such landlords/friends/clients.

Yes, when I turned thirty and thought I might be past any desire to bicycle across our country I did pick up this 1982-ish Kawasaki 650 CSR.  Such timed such that most of the five thousand miles I put on such bike while seeing how much I could maintain/repair myself that were so added to the few of just 5,000 miles already on odometer so that most were while I lived on Capitol Hill in DC.  This is the basement of Washington DC Hyatt Regency Hotel.

This is me in DC as a general contractor in midst of a demo project across Gresham Street from Howard University Gymnasium, on Georgia Avenue.  I was thinking all such time demoing out the old three thousand square feet of neighborhood physicians' offices of my old political writing and corners cut by Democrats with such of my THE CHARGE OF NEW FEDERALISM and of spending earnings on new sailing hobby that was as much or more around boat rebuilding of classic as finding sailing time and racing time in Penguin Fleet One.  As part of my responsibility with 2833 Georgia Ave NW demo project was the procuring of architectural plans and permits for such floor to become five "new" apartments in such ground floor of building otherwise an "apartment building."

Yes, I rented on Capitol Hill near Eastern Market (known for MERCURY RISING - type writer purchase scene and BODY OF LIES - Amsterdam street market terrorist scene) and while with a Home Depot utility trailer at times with my rebuilt Penguin racing dingy aboard and parked with necessary permit.  This though is while parked in my first dry slip at Daingerfield Island Marina in Alexandria, VA.  I called her QUORUM CALL most of the time.

I am not sure I could have had a better vehicle for DC than this used van I found for sale in Waterbury area back in 1997.  A white cargo style Dodge B250 which I could even fit a boat inside while with a old windsurfer atop, occassionally that then could accessorize to trailer adding, and be an excuse to visit area car part stores and junk yards to keep vehicle running, mostly on my own, hmmm.    I was even of taking top of engine off and replacing all eight valve seals while it was parked outside on 7th ST SE after engine rebuild started to wear with over 80,000 miles passed.

From February 2004 until 2007 though I lived the live of having a pick-up truck on Capitol Hill.   Here it is pictured outside ASYLUM store in old chain then in Fairfax Corner Plaza.

In the past few years while back in Connecticut I have been back to cycling as primary sport and without old sailing days.  I haven't been sailing in over three years and did sell the Cal 25 here pictured sailing north on Chesapeake after trip south from DC enroute to join Cal 25 fleet activities in Annapolis.  This is a boat I fully rebuild and restored to most "like new" in fleet and to race ready standards as well as old cruising legacy original to Cal25 owners.  I rebuilt it over five plus years and with most of hard work while it was in DC on Anacostia - Potomac waters in days and months and years after 9/11.

I have lost weight since this photo but have not gotten back to weight I move to DC of that was then of a couple summers in Ultimate Frisbee Leagues with such of schedule two hours of running around in competititon a few nights a week.   I did play in softball leagues while in DC for those ten years and played the first year Villanova University fielded a team in College Alumni Network (CAN) league and then again in 2007 year of this jersey.   I think we earned last place in such competitive league our first year struggling to find enough players each week but thought did nearly take first place in 2007.
